All about Francophile Living

Francophiles are described on Wikipedia and elsewhere, as people that admire, or have a strong positive view about the country of France and French culture. This can also necessarily refer to having a desire for living in France as an expat, or just enjoying a French lifestyle. Francophiles are also sometimes referred to as Gallophiles, and would naturally include Francophones.

Francophones speak French as a first language and therefore are greatly influenced by French culture. So, if you consider yourself a Francophile, you probably speak French more or less well enough to get along in France, like French cuisine, enjoy fine French wines, and know a thing or two about French art, French literature, and French history for starters.

Francophilia is another aspect of an entire segment of a society being influenced by French culture. This often arises in former French colonies where the people adopt many French habits and the language.
